October 31, 2016

  • A caller said “a male had been peeking through her windows.” The caller said “she confronted him,” and “he gave a bogus story.” An officer responded but did not find the peeping Tom.
  • An “upset” caller said “his neighbor has removed the fence he placed near the alley to prevent vehicles from going into his property.” The caller said he “was positive it was the neighbors” who removed the posts. An officer responded and “spoke with the neighbors, and they said they didn’t know what happened with the posts, and claimed they did not remove them.” The caller said he “was going to replace the posts and see what happens.”
  • A caller said he made contact with Violet Hill Cemetery Manager Richard Steadman and “asked if he can walk the cemetery at night from around 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. to search for paranormal activity.” The caller said he would “set up cameras and devices however long it takes to go through the entire cemetery.” An officer responded and instructed the caller to notify the Perry Police Department when he arrives and leaves the cemetery.
  • Jacey Mae Spoo, 25, 2620 McKinley St., #21, Perry, was arrested on a charge of going armed with intent.

November 2, 2016

  • Anthony Ruiz-Rivas, 21, 702 Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, first-offense public intoxication, two counts of trespassing and interference with official acts.
  • A caller said he saw an open door in a commercial property and “thought it was strange for this time of day.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
