- Kum & Go, 409 Nile Kinnick Dr. S., reported a theft. Items were valued at $19.99.
- Michael Fountas of Adel reported a burglary in the 2000 block of Main Street. Items were valued at $605.
- James Thomas Prine, 27, 708 Greene St., Adel, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for driving under suspension.
December 30, 2016
- Ronald Morrison of Des Moines reported a burglary in the 1300 block of S. Sixth Street. Items were valued at $610.
- A male juvenile, 14, of Adel was arrested in the 100 block of S. 10th Street and charged with first-offense possession of controlled substance-marijuana.
- Holly Powell of Adel said her vehicle was parked in the 1300 block of Prairie Street and was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Damage was estimated at $1,520.
- A vehicle driven by Andrew Steenhoek of Adel was traveling westbound in the 25000 block of U.S. Highway 6 when it struck a deer. Damage was estimated at $2,500.

- James Lewis Aldrich, 46, 515 W. N Ave., #25, Nevada, was arrested for trespass and fifth-degree theft.
- Michael Heller of West Des Moines reported a burglary in the 1900 block of Brickyard Road. Items were valued at $1,550.
