While Santa Claus delivered two early presents Tuesday night with back-to-back wins by the Jayette and Bluejay cagers over their Winterset rivals, the jellyful jolly man also brought good wishes to many Perry fans at the games.

Thanks to a special invitation from the Perry Booster Club, Santa made an appearance at PHS, spreading Christmas cheer to young and old, brown and white, naughty and nice.

“What a great way to celebrate the holidays!” said Perry Community School District Superintendent Lynn Ubben. Hundreds of Bluejays shared her sentiments.

In boys play, the Bluejays grabs a 58-46 victory over the visiting Huskies, while the Jayettes won a thrilling overtime contest 55-54 on a three-pointer by freshman guard Molly Lutmer.
