Jesus Jiménez, the son of Juan Jiménez, said the ashes of his father arrived in his hometown of Pegueros in the Mexican state of Jalisco and were met by the death of his aunt, María Asunción Jiménez, Juan’s sister.
Juan Jiménez, 78, died Saturday, Nov. 12 in Des Moines from injuries he received in a murderous assault in Perry Oct. 29 that also left a young mother and daughter dead.
Jesus Jiménez sent the following message to ThePerryNews.com shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24:
Our imperfect knowledge of Spanish yields the following translation into English:
“Today life struck us once again. Yesterday there came to our family the ashes of my Dad, Juan Jiménez (Don Juanito), to the house of his sister in Pegueros, Jalisco, local time. He was buried on Sunday, the 26th in company of relatives and friends. Unfortunately, today before 4 p.m. in Jalisco, Mexico, my aunt Maria Asunción Jiménez Murió died. The sadness invades our hearts again, and life gives us another hard blow. –Jesus Jiménez”
Jesus Jiménez said his aunt, Maria Asunción Jiménez, was the sister of his father, Juan Jiménez.
“Serán sepultados juntos,” Jiménez said. “They will be buried together.”
So sorry to hear this.
