- A caller said her dog was missing.
- A caller said he lost his billfold.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and asked “to speak with an officer about possibly being skimmed.” An officer responded.
- A caller said “he is attempting to get custody of his two nieces, which he was granted by his now-deceased mother.” The caller said “her dying wish was for him to take care of them” because “the girls parents are not fit to take care of them,” but “they are living with another uncle” outside the city limits of Perry. An officer responded and advised the caller “to contact the sheriff’s office.”
- Alan Randolph Heywood Jr., 32, 2305 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and on Perry warrants for seven counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs.
- A caller said “someone on their motorized scooter” was “on the wrong side of the road.” The caller was “concerned the rider is putting himself in harm’s way.” An officer responded, found the rider and “advised him to ride on the sidewalk, which he did.”
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “his bank account is showing fraudulent activity.” An officer responded.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he had fraudulent activity on his card.” An officer responded.
December 24, 2016
- A 12-year-old boy from Perry was issued a citation for first-offense curfew violation.
- A 16-year-old boy from Perry was issued a citation for first-offense curfew violation and was arrested on a charge of carrying weapons.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to “report fraudulent activity on his credit card.” An officer responded.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to “report suspicious activity on his bank statement.” An officer responded.
- A caller said a “dog has been chained in the back yard.” The caller said he was “concerned for the dog’s welfare and would like an officer to speak with the owners.” An officer responded.
- A caller said “he wants to take his medication and other belongings out of his girlfriend’s house, but she is refusing to let him in.” The caller said the “girlfriend can get violent.” Officers responded.
- A caller said she “found a cat in Rippey and was heading to Des Moines.” An officer responded and told “her either she should take it back to Rippey, or she will have to take it with her.”
