EARLHAM — The Panorama offense struggled to put the ball in the basket Tuesday, helping the Earlham boys to record a 62-32 win in their West Central Conference rematch. Earlham was a 52-48 winner at Panora Dec. 6.

The Cardinals (9-4, 9-3) wasted little time in seizing control of the contest by opening a 26-10 lead at the end of one quarter of play.

Panorama (5-8, 5-6) clearly misses leading scorer Bryce Halterman. The senior missed his third consecutive game with an ankle injury and the offense has been hampered by his absence.

The Panthers scored just two points in Tuesday’s second quarter to fall into a 43-12 hole at halftime. They trailed, 51-24, after three frames, with the hosts waltzing off with the win from there.

Jeramy Randol led Panorama with eight points, with Kolby Shackelford scoring six points on a pair of 3-pointers. Mitchell Wagler had five points, Trey Cobb, Gracen Welberg and Luke South four points apiece and Michael Allen one point.

Trent Williamson had 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and five steals for the hosts. Joey Harkens scored 11 points, grabbed 10 caroms and blocked three shots, with Drew Williamson adding nine points and seven boards.

Earlham hit just 4-of-20 3-point shots but was otherwise 21-of-35 from the floor while making 17 steals in the win. The hosts finished 6-of-10 at the foul line while the Panthers hit 7-of-8 at the charity stripe.

Panorama visits AC/GC Friday before traveling to Van Meter Monday in a rescheduled contest. They will then host Madrid Tuesday before entertaining Van Meter Jan. 27.
