  • An officer of the Perry Police Department “cleared the pad” in advance of a Lifeflight landing at the Dallas County Hospital.
  • A caller said “she sees a child” that “is in the front seat” of a vehicle. The caller said she “was concerned for the child.” An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department in order “to speak to an officer regarding harassment from his sister.” An officer responded, made contact with the sister and “advised her not to communicate” with the brother “anymore. She was fine with this.”
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department responded to two 911 calls from the Perry Public Library. The librarian said “no one was in distress so was not sure who it was.” Investigation revealed the calls were placed by a “child, who admitted he called 911 on purpose.” The officer explained to the child “how much trouble he could get into.”
  • A caller said “there is a dog in a van, and they usually keep the dog in there.” Officers responded and “attempted to make contact,” but “no one came to the door.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
