Panthers top Bulldogs to snap eight-game skid

OGDEN — The Panorama boys won for the first time since Jan. 13 with a 71-57 victory over Ogden in West Central Conference play Friday. The win moved the Panthers to 6-14 overall and 6-11 in WCC action while Ogden fell to 6-13, 6-11. Panorama had defeated Ogden by a 70-65 margin in their Jan. 3 meeting.

The guests snatched an early lead and ended the first quarter with a 16-11 advantage, and gap that grew by six further points in the following eight minutes as Panorama entered the locker room on top, 38-27. The third frame ended with the Panthers holding a 58-44 lead en route to the victory.

Bryce Halterman led all scorers with 21 points for the visitors, with Luke South draining four 3-pointers to help produce 19 points. Michael Allen had 12 points, Jeramy Randol eight, Gracen Welberg seven and Trey Cobb four.

Ben Heeren had 17 points to lead Ogden, with Kayden Kruse scoring 13 points and Nathan Kennedy 11. Noah Snedden finished with six points, with Jacob Craven and Charlie Lake adding four points apiece and Andrew Haberer two.

Panorama will cap their regular season with a boys-only contest against Woodward Academy Tuesday.
