Members and friends of the Minburn American Legion Osborne Post #99 gathered Saturday night to enjoy some beef and turkey Rocky Mountain oysters at the post’s annual Stag Night.
Along with eating the tasty testes, diners could enter the Legion raffle for a chance to win one of several fancy firearms, including a Henry Big Boy .357 carbine rifle and an over-under .410 gauge shotgun plus a variety of ammunition and other items for the outdoorsman.
An overflow crowd filled the legion hall from the 5:30 p.m. start until well after 8 p.m.
The annual event supports the Post 99 activities in and around Minburn, including this year’s donation of $1,800 to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
