Donald “Marty” Meyer, 85, of Perry passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at the Perry Lutheran Home in hospice at Perry, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 20 from 5-7 p.m., with a Vigil service held at 7 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry.
Burial will be in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Adel. Memorials will be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Marty is survived by his wife, Donna Meyer; children, Becky (Kim) Whiton of Mediapolis, Iowa, Blaine (Diane) Meyer of Temple, Texas, Karen (Randal) Goughnour of Omaha, Neb., Craig (Becky) Meyer of Pella and Scott Meyer of Pella; eight grandsons; four granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Joanne (Herb) Hackbarth of Spirit Lake, Janice (Merv) Hentges of LeSueur, Minn., Helena Johnson of Littleton, Colo., and Linda (Ken) Ring of Grand Forks, N.D.
