  • An officer assisted the Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 1000 block of W. Adams Street.
  • Officers assisted with a medical call in the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane.
  • Kim Conner reported a suspicious male in a white van in the 600 block of S. Olive Street. She spoke to the man, who claimed to be lining up work for his tree removal service. The man left a business card with Conner. The officer spoke with the man and advised him to register with the Jefferson City Hall in the future to conduct door-to-door business in Jefferson.
  • Cindy Tapper reported a deceased coyote in the 1000 block of N. Vine Street. The officer contacted the property owner, who advised he would take care of the carcass.
  • A traffic stop was performed in the 300 block of Stanford Street, which resulted in Nathan Merrill of Jefferson being issued a citation for violation of conditions of restricted license.
  • Mindy Ford lodged a loud music complaint in the 600 block of N. Wilson Avenue. The officer spoke to someone at 607 N. Wilson Ave. He said he would turn the music down.
  • An officer arrested a man at 309 N. Oak St. on an active Jefferson Police Department arrest warrant. Derek Eugene Ott, 35, of Jefferson was charged with third-degree burglary stemming from a reported burglary in the 500 block of N. Maple Street Aug. 30, 2016. Numerous power lawn tools were taken in the event. Ott was a suspect in the beginning, as he had been at the residence a few days prior to the burglary. Officers gained information that led them to an Ames Pawn Shop, where Ott sold the items.
  • A traffic stop was performed in the 700 block of E. Lincoln Way, which resulted in Jenna Beyers of Churdan being issued a citation for excessive speed.
  • Hertazean Fairley said she had not heard from her daughter, who last she knew lived in Jefferson, since July 2016. She was looking for an officer to do a welfare check on her daughter. The female is no longer in the Jefferson area.
  • While conducting business checks, an officer located an open door at 1016 E. Lincoln Way.
  • An officer located an open door at 407 E. Central Ave.
