The city of Perry announced Thursday that work will resume on the North Street construction project beginning Monday, March 6. The project includes new storm sewers, a water main, a walking trail and street construction in the area of North Street from 16th to 18th streets.

The contractor for the project, Corell Contractor Inc., has completed all storm sewer work on 18th Street and will focus on the remaining storm sewer from 18th Street to 16th Street.

Water main construction for the project is nearly 75 percent complete, with the remaining portions to be finished in the coming weeks, the city said.

Starting Monday, March 6, traffic control devices will be placed to warn residents of construction ahead. The city asks all drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution in the work area until the project is complete.
