A report of smoke in the apartment house at 2811 Warford St. brought the Perry Police Department and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department to the scene shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to locate the source of the smoke, which investigation revealed to be burning food in one of the rental units.
A high-powered exhaust fan was used to clear the residential complex of smoke.
There were no injuries in the incident.
