ADEL — Defending Raccoon River Conference champion and fourth-ranked ADM all but assured themselves of consecutive league crowns with a 5-1 win over Perry at Dewey Field Tuesday.
The Tiger girls moved to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in RRC play with the win while Perry fell to 8-3 and 5-1 with the loss.
ADM was clearly the superior team from the outset, as their greater size, strength and speed had the Perry defense backpedaling from the early moments. Breana Parkins put the guests in front, 1-0, 14 minutes into the game, with the first of three Sydney Bertman goals makign to 2-0 moments later.
The guests controlled the pace throughout the game and received two Bertman scores and an Emma Davis score to account for their offense.

The Tiger defense had yielded one goal all season and had posted five consecutive shutouts, but Jayette sophomore Natalie Martinez beat ADM keeper Delaney Barton with nine minutes left to play as the hosts avoided being blanked.
Martinez was appearing for only the second time this season and was clearly favoring her heavily-braced right knee. Despite the handicap, her occasional spurts and long runs vexed an ADM defense that double and triple-teamed the Perry standout whenever the ball found its way to her feet.
Senior Grace Marburger was back in the full lineup as well after missing time in a concussion protocol, but an experienced ADM team — who were state quarterfinalists last season — were simply too much for for Perry to overcome.
Selena Garcia was in goal for the Jayettes. She yielded five goals but made several saves on tough chances, finishing the contest with 11 stops.
The Perry junior varsity struggled with their visitors in the opening game, falling 7-0. Carly Anderson had six saves between the pipes for the Jayette JV.
The Jayettes return to action Thursday with a trip to Carroll.
