ALLEMAN — Goals by Hannah Becker and Danielle Bonewitz lifted North Polk to a 2-0 win over visiting Perry in non-conference girls soccer Thursday.

Perry (9-5) has now dropped four of their last five games after racing to an 8-1 start. However, those losses were to (current rank) Class 1A No. 2 North Polk, 1A No. 7 Gilbert, Class 2A No. 6 ADM and 2A No. 14 Newton. The other setback was an early-season 1-0 defeat at the hands of Des Moines Lincoln.

Magley Orellana, Natalie Martinez and Jacqueline Guardado had shots on goal against North Polk (13-2), with Carly Anderson making 13 saves in goal.

The Perry junior varsity suffered a 4-0 loss to the hosts. Anderson had two saves in the first half, with Lillian Robles stopping eights shots while defending the goal in the second half.

Perry completes their regular season Tuesday with a visit from Atlantic (4-9). They will then host either Des Moines Hoover or Winterset May 30 at 6 p.m. in a 2A Region 4 Semifinal. The opposite side of the bracket has No. 9 Norwalk facing either DC-G or CMB. The Region 4 Final will be played June 5 at 6 p.m. in Norwalk.
