PANORA — Visiting Ogden belted 12 hits and received 11 walks in scoring a 16-3 win in four innings of WCAC softball Tuesday.
The Bulldogs (2-3, 1-1) scored four times in the first inning and thrice more in the second to counter one and two-run frames from the Panthers (0-3, 0-3) to lead, 7-3, after two innings.
Neither team moved the scoreboard in the third inning, but a nine-run fourth pushed Ogden into a 16-3 margin, and when the hosts could not score at least twice in their half of the fourth the game ended early.
Denali Loecker allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in earning the win in the circle.
Kami Wheelock was 2-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and three runs scored for Ogden, with Meredith Adrean 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. Ellee Laws added two RBIs and two runs while swatting a double as part of her 3-for-3 effort at the dish.
Ogden finished with nine stolen bases in the victory.
