- A caller said a dog was running at large and “preventing her from entering” her workplace. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
- Alejandra Olmos-Villa of 306 Sixth St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense dog at large.
- A caller reported “debit card fraud.” The caller said “someone who came to visit her home last night took a picture of her card and is now trying to use her card information to send money to” someone “though Snapchat.” An officer responded.
- A caller reported “a dog stuck in a tree.” An officer responded, “and the dog was released.”
- A caller said she was concerned about a cat living at 1708 First Ave. because “no one is there to take care of it.” An officer responded.
- A caller filed “a complaint of a rooster.”
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with three stray kittens. An officer responded and transported the animals to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
- Monty Scott Leib, 23, 1606 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on a Des Moines Police Department warrant for obstructing a court order.
- A caller said a dog was running at large. “Officers were bust” and “not able to respond.”
- A caller reported a “dog that is tied up outside all the time,” and the caller “never sees and food or water for the dog.” An officer responded.
- A caller “requested assistance removing a bat from her residence.” An officer responded and “removed the bat from the residence.”
- A caller asked whether the Perry Police Department would “notify his brother” that “their father passed away this morning.” The caller said “he doesn’t know where” his brother lives. Officers responded “and delivered the message.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
