Several scholars from the Perry area graduated this summer from the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), and others were honored for their mid-career academic achievements.
Among the nearly 750 DMACC graduates receiving diplomas at the end of the summer semester were 10 Perry-area students:

- Jennifer Dutcher, Administrative Office Professional, Perry
- Brenda Espinoza, Business Administration, Perry
- Ryan Hodges, Auto Mechanics Technology, Perry
- Walter Loaiza, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Perry
- Chloe Long, Business Administration, Perry
- Cassandra Maldonado, Medical Assistant, Perry
- Douglas Stone, Diesel Technology, Dallas Center
- Madison Thompson, Liberal Arts, Perry
DMACC also released the names of students eligible for the Summer Semester President’s List, including three Perry-area students. Students must earn a 4.0 grade point average to qualify for the honor. President’s List honorees were:
- Felicity Koski, Accounting Specialist, Perry
- Courtney Steadman, Financial Administration, Perry
- Sia Turner, Liberal Arts, Dawson
DMACC’s Summer Semester Dean’s List includes students earning a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average. Perry students named to the Summer Semester Dean’s List include:
