Dan Spellman of Perry was congratulated Wednesday for attaining the age of 74 by his fellow members of the Society of Retired Experts (SORE).
Birthday wishes were delivered over coffee and cinnamon rolls at the Perry Perk coffeehouse by SORE members Andy Bambrick, Jim Haas, Lou Hoger, Ray Harden, Ken Finer and Lawrence Bice.
Beauty and elegance, seldom seen at SORE gatherings, joined hands when Sally Spellman and AnneMarie McDevitt, Dan Spellman’s wife and daughter, condescended to sit with the SORE men and share the day’s joy. The ladies’ laughter sparkled like sunshine.
