Paving began Monday on County Road F31, the Minburn Road (pink) and is expected to take about 10 days to complete, if the weather is fair. The suggested detour route (green) involves U.S. Highway 169, Iowa Highway 44 and County Road P58.

Manatt’s Construction Co. started the paving phase of the Minburn Road (County Road F31) project Monday.

Joel Robinson, Mannatt’s project manager, said the paving will be done in three layers, with the first layer starting at Kimble Place and proceeding eastward.

Robinson said if the weather holds, each layer of asphalt will take three days to complete from Kimble Place to Minburn.

Paving operations block the full width of the road, so residences west of the construction site only have access to their homes from the west or via Kimble Place. Residences east of the paving operation will have access through Minburn until the paving operation reaches their homes.
