- A caller said he was “wanting an officer to go with him on Saturday to pick up his child.” An officer responded and informed the caller “that the officer cannot enforce any of the paperwork and would only be there to keep the peace.” The caller said he “was okay with that.”
- A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
- A caller said she “was dropping off toys for children” when what “looks like a 2-year-old child opened the door. She was alone, taking care of an infant.” An officer responded and notified the Iowa Department of Human Services. Shortly afterward, “mom showed up. She was coming home from picking up her child at school.”
- A caller said “a family friend” who was “staying with her and her husband” was “kicked out” and now “is threatening to kill her husband.” The caller called again and said someone was taking the family friend “to a shelter in Des Moines.” An officer responded and “verified everything is okay.”
- A caller “reported a male that looked like he was intoxicated” driving a vehicle. The caller said driver “had a child” in the vehicle. An officer responded and found “the vehicle was parked with no one around it.”
- A caller “said a female is there that is homeless, and he does not want her there.” Officers responded and found the female “has been residing at the residence for over a year.” The caller was “advised hot to go about an eviction order.”
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “reported a dead cat” in the roadway. An officer responded, located the carcass and “moved it the the side of the road.” The Perry Public Works Department was notified.
- A caller “complained of someone dumping extra trash in her dumpster.” An officer responded.
- A caller with “a personal question regarding his son and custody” asked to speak with an officer. An officer responded and advised the caller “to speak with an attorney.”
December 22, 2017
- Pablo Espinoza, 20, 2902 Iowa St., #28, Perry, was arrested on charges of underage possession of alcohol, no driver’s license, no proof of insurance and failure to display plate.
- Timothy Glen Pittman, 25, 1701 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on five Dallas County warrants. Pittmas was also arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Fashion Foster, 43, 1701 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on two Dallas County warrants. Foster was also arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Tiara Dawn Stanek, 24, 1306 Second St., #2, Perry, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
- David Alan Norgart, 52, 1701 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of prescription drugs.
- A caller said she “received texts” from someone who “indicated they are looking for a female to add to their family” and “asked for photos of the females they had.” The caller said she “wasn’t sure if maybe they were referring to dogs or possibly people trafficking.” An officer responded and made contact with the texters, who said “they are looking for dogs.”
- A caller asked to speak with an officer about a dispute involving personal property. An officer responded.
