January 5, 2018

  • Linda Ryerson reported someone tapping on the windows of her residence in the 500 block of N.Chestnut Street.
  • Officers located an open door at 1903 N. Mulberry St.
  • An officer assisted a motorist in the 300 block of S. Vine Street.
  • As a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of N. Wilson Avenue, Katelin Lowmiller of Jefferson was issued a citation for failure to have a valid driver’s license.
  • An officer responded to 306 N. West St. on an anonymous report of a dog tethered outside in the cold weather. The officer found the dog to be okay.
  • Melanie Perin reported footprints in the snow outside of her apartment window at 1216 Westwood Drive.
  • An officer assisted a Greene County Deputy with a driving complaint involving a semi at the intersection of Iowa Highway 4 and Iowa Highway 141.
  • An officer responded to the 300 block of S. Walnut Street for a hit-and-run accident. Jim Mitchell 2013 Ford F-150 was legally parked in the 300 block of S. Elm Street when a red 2010 Ford F-150 backed out of the residence located at 302 S. Walnut Street and struck the rear passenger door of Mitchell’s vehicle, causing $1,000 in damages. The driver of the backing vehicle was determined to be Kera Shriver, 25, of Auburn. There was $500 in damages to the rear of Shriver’s vehicle. Shriver was issued a citation for unsafe backing and driving while license suspended.

January 6, 2018

  • An officer assisted with a broken down vehicle at the intersection of W. Clark Street and N. Wilson Avenue.
  • Mary Peninger spoke with an officer about a civil issue.
  • As a result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane, Aaron Lawrence of Jefferson was issued a citation for excessive speed.
  • Chris Laurent reported being harassed by Ricky Commer in the 300 block of W. Clark Street.
  • An officer completed a welfare check at 1216 Westwood Drive.
  • As a result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of W. State Street, Candice Ortiz of Grand Junction was issued a citation for failure to have a valid driver’s license.
  • An officer assisted Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 300 block of E. Garfield Street.
  • An officer responded to the parking lot at 106 W. Washington St. on a report of a male slumped over his steering wheel. The male was found to be fine.

January 7, 2018

  • An officer located an open door at 408 E. U.S. Highway 30.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County Medical Center staff with a court committal.
  • An officer assisted Greene County EMS in the 200 block of S. Maple Street with a medical call.
  • An officer assisted a motorist at the intersection of N. Elm and 220th streets.
  • Robin Bonner spoke with an officer about a civil issue.
  • An officer assisted Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 100 block of E. Central Street.
  • Mike Molle spoke with an officer about a trespassing issue.
  • Brittany Smith reported the theft of a gaming system from her residence at 304 N. Chestnut St. An officer is investigating.
  • Melinda Millard reported hearing loud noises in the 700 block of N. Chestnut Street.
  • Randy Lundberg reported a parking violation in the 500 block of N. Chestnut Street. Danielle Hermansen was issued a parking violation for parked across sidewalk.
