CEDAR RAPIDS — Perry will face Cedar Rapids Xavier Saturday at 5:15 p.m. in the U.S. Cellular Center in the WFA Shootout. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Perry High School office or at the box office. Admission is $10 and is good for all day, with children six and under admitted free.
Tipton will face Northeast Goose Lake at 10:15 a.m. in the opening contest, with Maquoketa Valley battling North Linn in the 12 p.m. game while Benton Community will tangle with Center Point-Urbana in the 1:45 p.m. contest.
Iowa City High will square off with Muscatine at 3:30 p.m. with the Bluejays (4-8 overall) to face the Saints (6-3 overall) in the 5:15 p.m. game. The classic will conclude with Cedar Rapids Jefferson meeting Marion at 7 p.m.
T-shirts commemorating the event will be available on the concourse for $10. A comprehensive program will be available for $5. Two programs will have a “gold star” in them, and the holder of each will have an opportunity to shoot a half-court shot and win $1,000 during the intermission of the game in which a “gold star” program is discovered.
