  • Paul Nelson requested an officer at 1206 N. Elm St. Nelson believed a male had a bike Nelson reported stolen last month. The male advised the bike belonged to him, and he had owned it for numerous years. The officer checked with a police department in Nebraska that provided a serial number for the bike, as it had been licensed in that jurisdiction. This proved the bike was not Nelson’s reported stolen bike.
  • An officer performed a funeral escort.
  • Marina Raices spoke with an officer about a possible burglary occurring at 605 S. Maple St. The officer could not investigate the claim due to lack of evidence it had occurred.
  • Randy Sutton reported people in a house that has been vacant since a house fire at 203 S. Oak St. An officer made contact with two people doing construction work in the property. The officer verified with the owner of the property that the males were authorized to be there.
  • An officer removed a bat form 305 N. Wilson Ave.
  • An officer assisted an Iowa Department of Human Services case worker with a home visit in the 400 block of S. Olive Street.
  • Carrie Jensen spoke with an officer concerning a civil child custody issue.
  • A local gas station requested an officer at 303 N. Elm St. for a customer who pumped fuel but could not pay for it. The officer assisted in a solution that allowed the male to return within the hour and pay for his fuel. The store later called back and said the fuel was paid for.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 100 block of South Grimmell Road.
  • Paul Gehling reported his 12-year-old daughter was assaulted by another female juvenile in the 400 block of S. Wilson Avenue. Gehling provided the officer with cell phone video of the assault he obtained from his daughter’s friend. The officer is investigating.
