County public servants thanked for longtime labor Tuesday

Dallas County Deputy Sheriff Clay Leonard, left, and Dallas County Sheriff Transport Officer Owen Stump, center, were each recognized for five years of public service Tuesday by Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard.

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors awarded seven certificates of appreciation to county employees Tuesday in recognition of the milestones they have reached in length of service.

County workers receiving certificates of recognition were:

  • Ken Cavanaugh, EMS, five years
  • Jon Illian, EMS, five years
  • Erica Crisp, Attorney’s office, five years
  • Clay Leonard, Sheriff’s office, five years
  • Owen Stump, Sheriff’s office, five years
  • Robert Troy Apple, Secondary Roads, 10 years
  • Raymond Dirksen, Sheriff’s office, 10 years
  • Joey Marchant, Sheriff’s office, 10 years
  • Nickolas Stuker, Sheriff’s office, 20 years

On hand to receive their honors were Crisp, Leonard, Stump and Apple, with the Dallas County Supervisors Chair Brad Golightly, Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard, Dallas County Attorney Wayne Reisetter and Dallas County Engineer Al Miller thanking the county staffers for their service to the public.
