January 15, 2018

  • An officer spoke to a resident about receiving a copy of an accident report. The resident was advised to contact the Madrid Police Chief.
  • An officer fingerprinted a resident for an employment background check.
  • An officer spoke to a resident about a civil matter involving a gift.
  • An officer spoke to a resident in the 400 block of N. Kennedy Street regarding a barking-dog complaint.

January 16, 2018

  • An officer received a call from a local retailer regarding money missing from the cash register. The officer started an investigation, and staff will be going through video footage.
  • An officer received a report of a stop sign that was hit at 22nd and Union streets. The vehicle was described as a dark blue Ford truck, and it left the scene after knocking down the sign. The officer recovered parts of the truck left at the scene and will attempt to locate the vehicle.
  • An officer received a call from a Madrid resident regarding a cat that they had brought in from the cold the night before and needed picked up by the Humane Society. The officer called the Society and verified the animal to be picked up.
  • An officer was called to a retail store for a gas drive off. The driver returned to the store and paid for the gas.
  • An officer made a copy of an accident report for a Madrid resident after receiving a request.
  • An officer spoke to an attorney’s office regarding an interview.
  • An officer was called for a welfare check of an elderly resident who was having trouble dialing out on a cell phone in case of an emergency. The officer met with the resident and assisted with the phone use.

January 17, 2018

  • An officer assisted the Madrid Fire Department and the Boone County Hospital regarding a medical call in the 900 block of S. Kennedy Avenue.
  • An officer stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of S. Kennedy Street. The driver was warned for improper lamps.
  • An officer received a call about an open door at an abandoned house. It was determined the door was blown open by the wind and secured by officer.

January 18, 2018

  • An officer unlocked a vehicle in the 600 block of Maverick Lane.
  • An officer stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Union Street. The driver was warned for improper lamps.
  • An officer stopped a vehicle in the on Iowa Highway 210 at Delander Street. The driver was warned for improper lamps.

January 19, 2018

  • An officer responded to the 700 block of W. Fourth Street for a deer in a window well.
  • An officer fingerprinted a resident for an employment background check.
  • Officers assisted with an accident near Market and Kennedy streets.
  • An officer was dispatched to a dispute on North Street, but the parties had already dispersed.
  • An officer assisted the Madrid Fire Department with an emergency call in the 900 block of S. Kennedy Street.
  • An officer checked on after-hours activity at a local business.
  • An officer stopped a vehicle on Iowa Highway 210 at First Street for a turn signal violation.

January 20, 2018

  • An officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of S. Main Street for expired registration.
  • An officer responded to the 200 block of S. Market Street to assist on a medical call for a 34-year-old female with severe migraine.
  • An officer responded to the 100 block of N. Union Street to assist on a medical call for a 1-year-old female who was very sick and lethargic.

January 21, 2018

  • An officer assisted the Madrid Fire Department and the Boone County EMS with an emergent medical call in the 200 block of S. Greene Street.
  • An officer received report of a reckless driver. The officer stopped the vehicle on Kennedy Drive in the area of the Madrid High School. The driver was distracted and advised not to be on a phone or Ipod.
  • An officer responded to 200 block of S. Greene Street for a dispute.
  • An officer assisted the Madrid Fire Department at Madrid on the Cedars with an emergent medical.
  • An officer assisted the Madrid Fire Department and the Boone County Hospital regarding a medical call in the 300 block of N. Locust Street.
  • An officer followed up with information regarding an abandoned property located in town.
