Perry Perk, downtown Perry’s popular coffeehouse, is moving into roomier quarters at 1201 Warford St., owner Tari Mason announced this week.
The store will open in its new location Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 7 a.m.
Next week’s schedule will be hectic, Mason said. The old location will be open as usual Tuesday, Jan. 30 and Wednesday, Jan. 31, but she will close Thursday, Feb. 1 through Monday, Feb. 5 in order to move the bigger fixtures from the old to the new space, hook everything up and give the state health inspectors a chance to sign off on the new arrangements.
Tuesday, Feb. 6 will be a soft opening, she said, with a grand opening celebration planned for April. Mason opened her Second Street coffeehouse in 2013, and she has enjoyed a steady trade in coffee, sweet rolls and lunch plates.
“We’ll have the same great coffee and the same great people in a new and improved building a couple blocks away,” Mason said. “We’re so excited for you to come visit!”
The new coffeehouse will be located just east of Haaland Financial Services in the old Dillenbeck-Citizens State Bank building, owned by the Backwards Property team of Emily and Dan Leslie of Perry. The newly restored commercial space features hardwood floors and lots of windows and gives Mason about 350 square feet of additional seating room.
