Van Wall Equipment, the tractor and farm equipment dealership near Perry, is raising a new erection at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 169 and Iowa Highway 141, the site of the former Zaruba Standard gasoline station.
Mike Van Houweling, chief financial officer for Van Wall Equipment, said the corner lot will be used as covered shelter for some of the company’s equipment.
“For all the details, you’ll need to talk to Don (Van Houweling),” he said. “Don’s the building guy.”
Don Van Houweling was not immediately available to provide details.
The 1.8 acre parcel at 22983 141st St. was sold in July to Van Houweling Property LLC., owners of Van Wall Equipment, by Rudolph Investments, which owned the derelict diner at the Four Corners east of Perry since 2003.
