At 8:43 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over De Soto and moving northeast at 35 mph. The storm is producing 60 mph wind gusts, which can damage roofs, siding and trees.
The following Dallas County cities can expect impacts: Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Clive, Waukee, Grimes, Perry, Adel, Windsor Heights, Polk City, Saylorville, Dallas Center, Earlham, Granger, De Soto, Woodward, Van Meter and Jordan Creek town center.
