
GRIMES — Beaver Creek was the home course Monday for a girls golf triangular between host DC-G, Perry and Winterset.
DC-G fired a 204 to win the meet, with Perry second at 224 while Winterset carded a 249. Lydia Steier of DC-G was the overall medalist with her round of 44, with Perry’s Alyssa Kruger the runner-up with a score of 47.
Aubree Klug and Sarah Rauschenberg each shot 50 to aid the Fillies, with Emerson Kleis adding a card of 60.
In addition to Kruger’s 47, Perry received scoring efforts of 55 from Hannah Roberts, of 59 from Delaney Eiteman, and of 63 from Skylar Cunningham.
Corry Pickering (51) led Winterset, with Natalie Drake (58), Ellie Eastrer (66) and Reagan Hotopp (74) also scoring for the Huskies.
Perry will return to action Monday just west of Grinnell on U.S. 6 at Oakland Acres. A shorter course, the back nine will be the hilliest course the Jayettes and most teams present will have played upon. Advancers will move on to the state tourney.
