ANITA — Woodward-Granger’s Cierra DeHoet and Aubrey Mescher tied for seventh place at Monday’ Class 2A regional, with both earning the right to play in the May 21 regional final in Atlantic.

Mt. Ayr had a 401 to win the team competition, with host CAM shooting at 406, and Earlham a 411, to advance as teams. They will be joined for Coon Rapids-Bayard regional qualifiers Griswold and Audubon and Boyer Valley and Woodbury Central, who advanced from a Council Bluffs meet.

W-G (342) was fourth in Anita, with Lenox (494) fifth and Southwest Valle (509) sixth. Earlham, Lamoni, and Nodaway Valley each failed to produce a team score, as none had the required four players in action.

CAM’s Sammi Jahde (85) and Mt. Ayr’s Abby Schafer (86) had the two lowest individual cards; the low eight earned a spot in the regional final.

Joining DeHoet and Mescher in scoring for the Hawks were Emma Greiner (54-58–112) and Emily Trewet (57-61–118). Neither Bailey Thompson (58-62–120) nor Megan Burkhart (61-68–129) had their scores used for the team total.
