Perry residents are reminded of the following changes in services during the Independence Day holiday weekend.[wpedon id=”85410″ align=”left”]
All city offices and the Perry Public Library, McCreary Community Building and Water Works offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4 for the Independence Day Holiday.
There will be no change to the residential garbage and recycle routes the week of Monday, July 2 through Friday, July 6.
There will be NO yard waste pickup on Wednesday, July 4.
Yard waste pickup will resume in July with the following schedule:
- July 11 – North Side of Willis Avenue
- July 18 – South Side of Willis Avenue
- July 25 – North Side of Willis Avenue

The Perry City Hall also invites citizens to celebrate the Fourth of July in Perry with the following Perry-Area Chamber of Commerce activities:
- 10 a.m. Parade (9 a.m. Line-up at East Perry Plaza)
Pattee Park Band Shell Entertainment:
- 12:30 p.m. – Showtime Dance and Tumbling Studio Performance
- 1:30 p.m. – Al Welsh Orchestra
- 6 p.m. – Catfish Charlie
- Food and Craft Vendors All Day
- 9:30 p.m. (dusk) Fireworks
Other Activities Around Town:
- 2 p.m. – Perry Fine Arts Ice Cream Social and Concert by Grand Ave Ruckus at Perry First United Methodist Church, 1100 Third St. in Perry
