July 3, 2018

  • A caller said a vehicle was illegally parked. An officer responded and determined the “vehicle is not blocking anyone from getting through.”
  • A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked nearby. An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said “she just hit a guy on a motorcycle.” An officer responded. The motorcycle driver transported himself to the hospital prior to the officer’s arrival.
  • A caller said she lost her keys.
  • A caller said someone lost his North Dakota identification and Social Security card in Perry.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he “was recently involved in an accident,” and “it turns out the other person doesn’t have insurance.” An officer responded and explained the “procedures he needed to take.”
  • A caller “reuqested an officer assist in removing a bat from her residence.” An officer responded and “removed the bat.”
  • A caller said “her son rented a Rug Doctor about six weeks ago,” and “her son is now in prison.” The caller “said she believes the Rug Doctor is now in the possession of his ex-girlfriend.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone was shooting off fireworks in the area.” An officer responded and found “no fireworks going off.”
  • A caller said he “was upset about a neighbor parking too close to his driveway.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone was shooting off fireworks in the area.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone was shooting off fireworks in the area.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “fireworks were going off,” and “she had a baby who was trying to sleep.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her daughter” was “Snapchatting” with someone who “threatened to harm himself.” Officers responded.

July 4, 2018

  • A caller said “her neighbors are playing loud music.” An officer responded and “knocked on the apartment” that “did have loud music playing. Residents refused to come to the door, but they did turn down the music.”
  • A caller said “her dog was choking on food and is now ‘asleep.’ The dog was not breathing and” the caller “performed CPR.” Officers were advised.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department “patrolled the parade. All okay.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a phone she found. The item was “logged into evidence.”
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department “conducted foot patrol at the Pattee Park.”
  • A caller said her mother “intentionally overdosed on anti-depressant pills.” The Perry First Responders were paged.
  • A caller from Jefferson said “he is on parole but does have permission from his parole officer” to “be at the Pattee Park for the festivities.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “said his car was egged last night.” An officer responded.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department “conducted foot patrol at the Pattee Park during fireworks.”
  • A caller said “a male juvenile riding a bike just parked by the shed of a vacant house across the street from her residence and entered the house.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a group of kids setting off fireworks in the street.” An officer responded but “was not able to locate anyone shooting fireworks in the street.”
  • A caller said “debris is falling on her trailer” due to “people setting off large fireworks behind her residence.” An officer responded.
  • Shawn Harrison of Adel was issued a citation for fireworks violation.
  • The Perry Volunteer Fire Department “assisted with traffic control after the fireworks display” at Pattee Park.
  • Timothy Earl Kilmer of Perry was issued a citation for fireworks violation.
  • Albert Joseph Jaimes of Perry was issued a citation for fireworks violation.
  • A caller said “she is working at the fireworks tent,” and “people are setting off fireworks close to the tent.” The caller “said she has told people they need to be 300 feet from the tent,” but “no one is listening.” An officer responded but did not find anyone shooting off fireworks.
  • A 17-year-old male from Perry was issued a citation for fireworks violation.

  • A caller reported “people setting off professional fireworks.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a verbal domestic going on across the street.” Officers responded and found “an argument between the father and daughter about the father not showing up to a wedding.” Officers calmed the situation and recommended the disputants “talk about the situation another day.” The father and daughter “agreed, and the daughter left with her mother.”
  • A caller said “people behind her are setting off fireworks.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “people in his neighborhood are setting off fireworks.” The caller “said the noise was coming from all directions.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
