Woodward-Granger announces Homecoming Court

WOODWARD — The five queen and five king candidates for Homecoming 2018 at Woodward-Granger were recently announced.

The Hawks (3-2, 0-1) will host crosstown foe Woodward Academy (2-3, 0-1) at 7 p.m. Friday in a game that is also a Class 1A District 7 tussle. “The Greatest Show On Turf” has been selected as the Homecoming theme this year.

The annual parade will be held Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with the coronation ceremony held in the W-G Middle School Auditorium afterwards. Logan Canova and Paige Harlan were crowned Hawk royalty last year.

Queen candidates this year are Briley Bermel, Sophie David, Josie Noland, Alissa Smeltzer and Ashlyn Soelberg. Candidates for king are Noah Gleason, Noah Hoyt, Sam Peterson, Hunter Pifer and Gabe Yingst.
