The Perry Kiwanis Club welcomed Audrey Erickson, ancillary services manager for the Dallas County Hospital, to the Tuesday lunch meeting for a discussion about innovative technolgy in the study of sleep.

In striving to find new ways to deliver patient care with technology, the DCH has introduced Cleve Med In-Home Sleep Testing equipment, Erickson said. Patients needing to take a sleep test now have the option of doing an in-home test or an in-hospital test.

Erickson said providers feel the at-home sleep studies are very convenient for the patient.  The new technology allows patients to sleep in their own beds while wearing the Sleep View Technology and in some cases delivering better results as the patients are more relaxed.
