October 24, 2018

  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral excort.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to speak to an officer about a scam she received on Instagram.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to speak to an officer in regards to her husband.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he let someone stay in his apartment, and they have not paid.” The caller said “it has been 11 days,” and he “wanted to know what he could do about it.” An officer responded.
  • Maria Chavez of 2124 First Ave., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense barking dogs.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department encountered a vehicle “in the middle of the road.” The officer went to the home of the registered ownerand made contact with someone who said “his mother had problems with the vehicle, and she was returning to take care of it.” The “vehicle was gone a short time later.”
  • A caller said “there is a drunk male outside of her door, and she asked him to leave, and he does not want to do so.” Officers responded and patrolled the area but did not find the drunk male.

October 25, 2018

  • Wireless Medical called and requested a welfare check on someone “they were not able to make contact with.” An officer responded and made contact with the person, who was “all right and was charging his Life Alert, which was why he was not responding.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
