  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • A caller said someone “is abusing his pitt bull.” The caller said the person “takes care of his and his mother’s dog but is only mean to his.” The caller said the caretaker “hit his dog and had bit him.” An officer was advised.
  • A caller said someone “is home when he should be at school.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was informed by a citizen that “someone attempted to break into his residence.” The citizen said the person “first knocked on the door” and “then tried opening the door.” The officer advised the citizen “to call if it happens again.”
  • A caller said “someone entered her residence today through a window that doesn’t lock and left through the back door.” An officer responded.
  • Heather Lea Karolus of 2706 Fritz St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense dog at large.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a billfold he said he found in the street. An officer responded, and the item was “logged into evidence.”
  • A caller asked to speak with an officer “regarding problems with the landlord.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said her dog was lost.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large, “took the pup home and posted a photo of the puppy on Facebook.” The caller “wanted to know if anyone had reported a dog matching the description missing.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a loud, explosion-type noise” in the vicinity of her residence. Officers responded but did not find the source of the noise.
  • A caller said someome was “walking back and forth in front of his residence and did not want her in his house.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
