Perry Police Report Nov. 24

  • The Dallas County Sheriff’s office requested assistance with a traffic stop in Perry. Officers responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to speak to an officer in regards to a custody situation.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she was over at her friend’s” and “his ex” had “assaulted her.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “he needed to speak to an officer in regards to someone harassing him.” The caller said “his wife has possibly been hanging out” with someone and “allowing” someone “to live with her.” The caller said he “heard” his wife’s acquaintance “was looking for him Wednesday night, with a knife, to stab” the caller. The caller said he “wants officers to be aware of this in case he has further problems.”
  • A caller said “she wanted to speak to an officer in regards to her landlord.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he was just bitten by a pit bull,” but “he did not need medical attention” because “it just had bitten his coat.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported her vehicle was stolen. An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a man looking through his window.” The caller said “the man looking through his window had called him earlier in the day about a dog bite from the caller’s dog, and the caller is afraid of him.” The caller said the man “was intoxicated and threatened harm on him if officers didn’t show up.” Officers responded and “discovered that a family member of the neighbor mistook” the caller’s residence “as the one he was going to.” The officers explained to the caller “that it was an error by his neighbor’s visitor.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
