- Carly Flaws of Van Meter was traveling near the 117 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,500.
December 17, 2018
- Andrew Poole of Woodward was traveling east on 150th Street and turning onto Iowa Highway 141 when he was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Joshua Woodard of Woodward. No injuries were reported. Damage to Woodard’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000, and damage to Poole’s vehicle was estimated at $5,900.
- Eldon Eastman of Dawson was stopped at the stop sign when he was struck on the front side of his truck by a vehicle driven by Shawn Jones of Rippey. No injuries were reported. Damage to Jones’ vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Eastman’s vehicle was estimated at $3,500. Jones was cited for driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway.
- Marlon Wayne Reed, 47, of 327 Scandia Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for harassment.
- Mark William McKeever II, 39, of 410 Walnut St., De Soto, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of domestic abuse assault.
