  • A caller said a vehicle struck a utility pole on Willis Avenue, and the occupants of the vehicle fled from the crash scene on foot. Officers responded and investigated. They were unable to locate the occupants of the vehicle. It was determined the registered owner of the vehicle was a Des Moines resident, and the officers “contacted the Des Moines Police Department and requested that they try to make contact with the registered owner. An officer called back, advising that they made contact with” the registered owner of the vehicle, and “it appears she registers cars for other people” and “is unsure of who is in possession of the vehicle now.” Officers found personal items in the vehicle that led them to the residence of a male, and the officers “talked to his grandma, who was uncooperative.”
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital “requested officer assistance with a patient who was discharged but is refusing to leave” and “was being verbally combative to emergency room staff.” An officer responded, but “the female had already left the scene.”
  • A caller said she “received a strange voicemail” in which someone said “she needed help, that her niece was evicted and is now out in the cold with her dog.” The caller said she was “concerned whether this was legit, if someone really needs help.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said the father of her children “is being difficult and does not want to return the kids.” Officers responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. “with her husband with a letter from the IRS, warning her that someone possibly is using her Social Security number to obtain employment. The letter advised them to monitor their credit and taxes.” Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone hit the passenger side to his vehicle.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported a domestic disturbance. Officers responded.
  • A 14-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • A caller from outside the city limits of Perry said “she was assaulted by her ex-husband.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • A caller “requested an officer to go with her” to “retrieve her cell phone that her ex took.” The caller said “she had the paperwork stating that it was her phone.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he could hear loud knocking on his door and window but did not see anyone there.” An officer was advised.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he “heard loud noises come from outside his house, and he thinks it was someone trying to steal items from his truck.” An officer responded.
  • Two people entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to speak with an officer “about an assault that occurred the other day.”
  • A wireless 911 caller said “he saw three males looking around his residence with flashlights.” An officer responded but “was unable to locate the individuals.”
  • A caller said “her truck had been stolen,” but the caller “refused to make an official report.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
