Every Winterset boy in uniform scored in a 70-15 whipping of host Perry Tuesday, with the Husky girls having earlier posted a 47-25 win over the Jayettes in a pair of Raccoon River Conference games.

Winterset (3-5, 2-2) stormed to leads of 13-2 and of 17-7 after each of the first two quarters in the girls meeting. Perry (1-9, 0-4) managed to put 13 points on the scoreboard in the third quarter, but the guests scored 16, with a 12-5 Husky edge over the final eight minutes setting the final margin.

Perry was 8-of-11 at the free throw line and hit 3-of-10 3-point shots but connected on only 4-of-25 traditional two-point shots. The Jayettes had just three assists and only two steals.

Molly Lutmer led the hosts with 12 points, with Jayna Kenney adding seven points and Gabby West six.

Olivia Hammer had nine points, Lauren Carter eight and Madison Wauters seven to pace Winterset.

The Huskies scored the first 18 points of the boys game, with the Bluejays guilty of an unofficial seven turnovers before scoring for the first time. Trailing 26-2 after one frame, the hosts found themselves facing a 42-6 deficit at the intermission.

Winterset emptied their bench early in the third quarter, with all 13 Huskies eventually entering the scorebook.

Easton Darling had 13 points, Hunter Farr 12, Casey Kleemeier 11 and Dawson Forgy eight to pace the guests.

Four points from June Rey Reisberg led Perry. Avery Mesiter had three points, Mohamed Abdelnabi, Kato Dougan and Jordan Long two each and Mario Cruz and Chase Archer one apiece for Perry.

The first portion of the season will end for Perry with a visit to Ogden Thursday.
