- Crystal Garnett of Perry was traveling in the 22000 block of 187th Street when she lost control of her vehicle while swerving to avoid a deer, and the vehicle entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Damage to a fence was estimated at $100. Garnett was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance.

- Sarah Bosen of Waukee was stopped at the intersection of U Avenue and 240th Street and waiting to make a right hand turn when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Suzann Kinney of Adel. No injuries were reported. Damage to Bosen’s vehicle was estimated at $800, and damage to Kinney’s vehicle was estimated at $500.
- Anthony Lamar Brown, 39, of 1420 11th St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while barred-habitual offender.
- Lashawn Sanders, 24, of 606 N. John Wayne Dr., Winterset, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
