January 14, 2019

  • Jason Heimdal with the Earlham Police Deptartment was traveling south in the 35000 block of I Avenue when his vehicle was struck in the front passenger area by a vehicle pulling a trailer and driven by Elisabeth Mendozamelgoza of Salina, Calif. No injuries were reported. Damage to Mendozamelgoza’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage tp the Earlham Police Department vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Mendozamelgoa was issued a citation for failure to yield upon entering a through highway.
  • Rhonda Osborn of Dallas Center was traveling south in the 24000 block of W Avenue when a vehicle driven by Robin Horsch of Waukee attempted to stop but slid on the ice and into Osborn’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Horsch’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Osborn’s vehicle was estimated at $100.

January 15, 2019

  • Samantha Rose Graham, 37, of 1360 S.E. Florence Dr., Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for forgery and theft.
  • Heather Jean Briney, 38, of 27516 337th Court, Adel, was arrested on a warrant for violation of parole.
  • Patricia Pommer of Perry was traveling in the 18000 block of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal when her vehicle struck a deer. Brandon Michael of Granger was traveling behind Pommer, and his vehicle also struck the deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to Pommer’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000.00 and damage to Michael’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
  • Thomas Berry of Adel was traveling in the 30000 block of R Avenue when he hit a patch of ice and lost control of the vehicle, which slid across the center line and entered the east ditch. Minor injuries were reported, and the injured refused medical attention. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.

January 16, 2019

  • Gerald Eilers of Redfield was traveling west in the 17000 block of Old Highway 6 when his vehicle struck a deer. No were injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
