Dave Alderson, the longtime owner of A&A Hi Performance at 2808 Willis Ave., has teamed up with one of Perry’s newer business owners to open a service center at the NAPA Auto Parts store at 1001 Third St. in downtown Perry.
Alderson joined this month with Mike Hayes, who bought the NAPA business last summer, to offer motorcycle services as War Pony Customs.
Alderson will continue his automotive service at A&A Hi Performance, the Willis Avenue shop he has operated since 1995, when he first leased the building he later bought from Max Wheelwright, who ran a Conoco gas station at the location for many years.
A&A Hi Performance and War Pony Customs is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The phone number is 515-465-5875 and 515-230-5795.
Hayes has extensive experience in diesel mechanics. He bought the NAPA franchise June 1 from John Standley, owner of Adel Auto Parts. The Perry NAPA store is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. The phone number is 515-465-4615 and 402-657-8684.
