An Adel man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly assaulting an Adel woman in the course of a domestic dispute.
Jason Nathaniel Gabler, 41, of 1217 Prairie St., Adel, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Prairie Street in Adel, where officers of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Gabler allegedly “pushed her into the corner of the garage door, which caused a red mark on her right upper arm and an abbreviation on her right knee cap,” according to court records.
Gabler is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Oct. 14 in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
