Joseph Craig Collins, 28, of Adel was arrested Tuesday on a charge of third-degree harassment.

An Adel man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly kicking his neighbor’s front door three times.

Joseph Craig Collins, 28, of 1516 Aspen Dr., Adel, was charged with third-degree harassment.

The incident began about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 1500 block of Aspen Drive, where an officer of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance.

The officer made contact with the victim, who showed the officer doorbell camera video in which Collins rang the victim’s doorbell and then kicked the victim’s front door “several times and ran off,” according to court records.

The third time Collins came to the door, the victim “confronted” him and told him to stop, and Collins allegedly “yelled back at him, causing alarm to the victim,” according to court records.

Collins is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 15 in the Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
