An Adel man was arrested in Redfield Sunday night by a deputy sheriff after he was reportedly seen chasing children with a stick.
Austin John Worthington, 18, of 29507 I Ave. in Adel was arrested after a call to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office reported that “at the intersection of First and Thomas there was a male that was chasing kids with a stick and was very upset.”
The caller said the man with the stick then “jumped into a white vehicle.”
Worthington was taken into custody a short time later in the 29000 block of El Paso Avenue in Redfield and later transported to the Dallas County Jail.
