An Adel man was arrested Tuesday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with an October incident in which he allegedly moved without notifying the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
Dominique Michael Nordheim, 29, of 2111 Barry Dr., Adel, was charged with first-offense sex offender registration violation.
According to court records, the Dallas County Sheriff’s office learned in early November that Nordheim “had moved and failed to update the registry with his new address within 5 business days,” as required by Iowa law.
A warrant for Nordheim’s arrest was ordered Nov. 4 in Dallas County District Court and served Nov. 11. Nordheim is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 24 in Dallas County District Court.
Nordheim was convicted of third-degree sexual abuse and first-offense purchase/possess depiction of a minor in a sex act in 2017 in Polk County District Court.
