An Adel man was arrested Friday after he allegedly violated the rules for the sex offender registry.
Caden Anthony Dimaio, 22, of 2799 Greene St., Adel, was charged with first-offense sex offender registration violation.
According to court records, Dimaio allegedly violated the rules of the sex offender registry when he moved Aug. 1 from a residence in Polk County to a residence in Adel “but failed to notify the Dallas County Sheriff’s office of his change of address.”
He had only notified the Polk County Sheriff’s office and his parole officer of his move.
Dimaio allegedly further violated the rules when he failed to register his work vehicle with the Dallas County Sheriff’s office and when he “traveled outside of the state of Iowa and failed to notify the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, as required by Iowa Code,” according to court records.
Dimaio was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a hearing Sept. 27 in Dallas County District Court.
Dimaio was convicted of third-degree sexual abuse in 2019 in Dallas County District Court.
