  • A vehicle driven by Jonathan Jefferson of Calumet City, Ill., was backing up in the 24000 block of 288th Trail when it slid into the ditch. Damages were reported at $5,050.
  • A vehicle driven by Ronnie Daniels of Austin, Texas, was turning into the 800 block of Grove Street when it vehicle struck a road sign. Damages were reported at $200.

January 17, 2019

  • Wells Fargo of Adel reported a counterfeit transaction in the 100 block of Nile Kinnick Drive N. The item was estimated at $20.
  • Kum and Go of Adel reported a counterfeit transaction in the 400 block of Nile Kinnick Drive S. The item was estimated at $40.
  • A 15-year-old male of Adel was arrested for third-degree identity theft, fourth-degree theft and unauthorized use of a credit card.

January 18, 2019

  • A vehicle driven by James Graham of Boone was traveling southbound in the 31000 block of N Avenue when Graham lost control of the vehicle. A vehicle driven by Charles Henry of Adel was traveling northbound, and Graham’s vehicle struck Henry’s vehicle. A vehicle driven by Tabu Kazeze of Adel was also traveling northbound on N Avenue and struck the rear of Henry’s vehicle. Damages were reported at $25,000.

January 19, 2019

  • Wells Fargo of Adel reported a counterfeit transaction in the 100 block of Nile Kinnick Drive N. The item was estimated at $20.
  • A vehicle driven by Emily Cox of Adel was traveling southbound in the 1200 block of S. 11th Street when a vehicle driven by Hunter McBurney of DeSoto entered the intersection and struck Cox’s vehicle. Damages were reported at $2,000.
  • A vehicle driven by Dean Bury of Dallas Center was traveling eastbound in the 25000 block of U.S. Highway 6 when he lost control of his vehicle. A vehicle driven by Nathan Jackson of Ankeny helped pull Bury’s vehicle out of the ditch, and Bury’s vehicle then struck Jackson’s vehicle. Damages were reported at $8,000.
